The goal of The Easy Federalist is to maximize the general American’s familiarity with their political heritage. The method of “translation” is not to perfectly translate each sentence, but to instead translate the primary purpose of each paragraph. Some unnecessary sentences have been dropped, and some philosophy and historic minutiae has been paraphrased to be understood by the broadest possible modern audience.
